The Volunteer Training Corps was suspended in December 1918, and disbanded in January 1920, with the exception of the Volunteer Motor Corps which was retained until April 1921 in case of civil disorder. (KK Vol 1, No.1694, page 407)

A very nice Gordon Highlanders 6th Volunteer Battalion glengarry badge, circ 1887-91 though still worn during WW1, in solid silver, marked 'JRG&S', approx 2 1/4 inches (55mm) diameter, little wear though some bruising to left side 'belt' just above the buckle, quite heavy at 1.3 oz of silver, both lugs intact, a very nice Gordon's volunteer badge typically associated with Senior NCO's wear being solid silver.
