An exceptional solid silver regimental frame to the 4th Royal Welch Fusiliers. Frame shows the regimental battle honours to each side, the ram and the large crossbelt type badge of the dragon within the wreath, similar to the Monmouthshire badge, with other regimental badges either side of the centre, was made by Hawkes & Son of London, it measures 12 x 10 inches and is very heavy, inner picture area is approx 7x 4 3/4 inches, in absolutely beautiful condition for its age, circ 1900. A stunning piece of craftsmanship.

Original Ancient Order of Foresters breast or sash star, in excellent condition. Star is solid silver, hallmarked 1876-77 at the Birmingham Assay office, maker is H&T for Hilliard and Thomason, approx 8.8cm By 8.7cm, a beautiful badge that is rare to survive. Has been rubbed with a silver cloth to bring out the detail.

Gordon Highlanders shoulder belt badge in excellent condition, no maker marks as far as I can see, has been cleaned, non-magnetic, appears to be or have been silver plated, all fittings intact, the 'buttons' have wear and discolouration where they have been against the belt material. Approx size is 74x56mm. I have no provenance for this badge, came in within a Scottish collection, possibly a Pipes and Drums badge.

A scarce Scottish Volunteers aiguillette shoulder chape to a Gordon Highlanders Volunteer Officer in unused condition, the aiguillette cords are clasped by the chape to hold the cords with the chain and clip to attach into the button hole, finely made, thistle design, retaining all gilt, chape size approx 2 1/2 inches. A very nice and quite scarce item.

This wasn't uncommon, contemporary photographs at Warminster show student SNCOs wearing on the sleeve as qualified status whilst School Instructors are wearing in caps, a nice variation if you like to have different examples.
