WW2 Japanese Army Officers Type 19 Kyu-Gunto parade sword, with an ornate back-strap indicating a higher than usual officer rank, rayskin grip, far from 'parade ready' the sword was a local bring back from Singapore and has seen some life, the fact that it came back from Singapore does show that Japanese officers did in fact take their parade dress into occupied areas. Overall not in too bad condition, the hilt is a little rattly, the blade is 70cm long and fairly clean still showing the wave along the blade, the scabbard mouth has split though the body has no dents or dings. A nice Japanese officers parade sword.
