WW1 American P1917 bayonet, a clean example dated 1917, it has blued steel mounts and wood grips with the double groove, it has a 17 inch blade, nicely ordnance marked with flaming grenade and eagles head and is complete with its steel mounted black leather scabbard , average to plus condition, except for a weak scabbard tip which is wrapped in tape, not sure if it is actually broken as I have not removed the tape, scabbard fitted with a British made leather frog, top pommel strap broken. An excellent bayonet with the price reflecting the scabbard weakness.
