WW2 British RAF Aircrew Release Knife by Rogers, Sheffield
A very scarce WW2 British RAF Aircrew Release Knife in excellent condition, used by aircrew to cut themselves free from harness straps and parachute lines etc. made by Rogers, Sheffield and Air Ministry marked along with the codes 993395/39/C1C above an asterisk and cross over Rodgers, Sheffield, England, the leather scabbard is similarly marked 626843/37/C1C, knife featured in the Ron Flook book 'British and Commonwealth Military Knives. These knives were commonly carried by both paratroopers and the Glider Regiment soldiers. A very scarce and sought after wartime knife.
