WW2 German K98 bayonet dated 1938. Blade in very good condition without dings and damage to the blade edge, maker marked Rich. A. Herder, manufactured in 1938, small '38' stamped on the bayonet back, numbered '1653' with a 'd' below, grips in excellent condition, waffenampt marked at the pommel end. Scabbard marked with maker code and year '42 COL' plus numbered '5477' with waffenampt code to scabbard ball though difficult to read, some minor dings on the scabbard rear and one minor to the front, scabbard side screw missing, scabbard appears to have been repainted at some time though not in modern times. Overall a fine example K98 bayonet which seem to becoming less common.
