Scarce early Irish Army model 1927 steel helmet made by 'Vickers', in excellent condition though has seen plenty of service wear - see pictures. Remains of the white paint finish revealing the original issue colouring, maker and number stamping in the rim there but difficult to see due to paint. Pads in very good condition, with markings, liner band maker marked 'T.Smith & Son, Dublin. 1927', chin strap snapped though complete. A fine early Irish Army helmet.
