A scarce DAF area standard, sadly the area/city patch has long since been removed from the standard. Flag is approx 120x140 cm, in excellent condition overall without any damage. Standard top is maker marked "RZM M3/40". The wooden pole is in 2 parts, which can be put together to give an approx length of 320 cm. These standards are quite scarce, especially in such fine condition. A nice standard for the DAF collector. An ex-Niemann sale.

A very rare surviving War Veteran flag "Schenefeld 1870-1871" approx size 105x105 cm and still attached to a piece of wooden staff. These flags were often carried by the veterans groups that abounded in the early 1920s following the disorder of the end of WW1 continuing into the rise of the 3rd Reich. Many of these War Veterans flags can be identified in the early photographs of the 3rd Reich period. The flag is in remarkable condition for its age though does show some sign of moth in its past along with a couple of tears, there is also a period repair about an inch long - see photographs, I have pictured the worse, none of which detract from this rare surviving flag. A true piece of history. Priced to reflect its condition and to re-home with a collector who will continue to look after it properly.

A scarce field chaplin's altar banner in beautiful condition, multi-piece construction, black cotton swastika and roundle on a felt background with the purple felt strip across the top edge, the whole banner is edged in twisted gold wire which continues as the hanging cord. Banner is backed by a quality backing material. Faint stain across white roundle, see pictures. Overall an item of some quality in both manufacture and display. Size approx 36cm across the top and a depth of about 39cm. Chaplin items do not come on to the market that often. This is fresh from a veteran who explained that this was aquired when a German chaplin and doctor surrended with wounded soldiers to the advancing Royal Tank Regiment in Northern France after the landings.

An interesting and scarce wartime BMW funeral drape or banner, very much in the funeral drape style, worthy of more research, in excellent overall condition, lettering is in silver printed foil-paint 'Dem Freund und Sportskameraden - Bayer.Motoren-Werke A.G. Munchen' (A friend and sports comrade, BMW Works, Munchen), some fading and wear to the letters though this does not detract at all. A nice interesting item, approx size is 102x26 cm not counting the silver wire fringe at each end. This is an interesting funeral drape.

Scarce early German National Youth Group banner top, circ late 1920s into the 1930s, these were the forerunner of the Hitler Youth and SA sports regime. Banner top is in excellent condition retaining much of its gilted finish, once this organisation was dissolved this banner top no doubt ended up a sleeper in a cupboard somewhere. A really nice scarce piece.
