1957 Paratroopers Combat Clasp, cloth version for sowing to tunic, this badge was basically the de-nazified version of the WW2 clasp which was never implemented. This clasp itself was only worn during the 1955-56 period and became obsolete when the formal 57 issue State awards were introduced. Some senior parachute officers continued to wear the clasp, photographs exist of the clasp being worn as late as 1960. A scarce and difficult badge to find.

WW2 German Kriegsmarine Airsea Rescue group comprising 3 photographs and two items of insignia, a denazified metal winged anchor cap wing, swastika has been cut off, a postwar cloth cap wing, both in very good condition. The group is complimented by the 3 photographs, one I believe is during the war whilst the other two are possibly immediately after the war, photographs to this branch of the Kriegsmarine are quite scarce. A very nice group.

An interesting and difficult to acquire Russian Front and Anti-partisan holder's 1957 awards and honour chain/bar or in this case suspended from a sword, in excellent condition, chain has the Iron Cross, 40 year Faithful Service Cross, WW1 Cross of Honour, Russian Front medal, Anti-partisan badge in silver, General Assault badge in silver and silver wound badge, a very nice set with an interesting combination of awards for an older veteran with WW1 service. The combination of the 40 year Faithful Service and the combat awards especially the Anti-partisan badge suggest a 'Race and Resettlement' connection. Chains were popular with WW2 veterans and those that continued into the post war German armed forces. A very sought after item that is hardly found outside of Germany.

A lovely looking E-Boat Squadron badge, made of silver, approx 50mm long by 20mm in height, quite heavy, tested solid silver, not marked but appears to have a makers mark of 3 circles with a shield either side, the front of the E-Boat has a swastika in a wreath however I do not believe this to be a wartime badge, I suspect its a veteran item but I don't know for sure. That aside its a cracking badge that is very iconic, it is similar to the 2nd Pattern E-Boat badge, Something a little different and certainly worthy of more research. Beautiful badge that empathises the spirit of the E & S Boats.

A very nice private purchase 1957 Knights Cross of the Iron Cross. Two piece construction, non metalic, German silver plate on brass core with black enamel and silver leaf detail. These were early production medals for dress uniform wear, they are perfect in detail, hand enamelled and thicker than the authorised state issued 57 KC, hence their popularity at the time. For the avoidence of any doubt these KCs are not modern copies but proper period dress medals. A good varient KC for the 1957 and Iron Cross collector that does not come up often. This KC has not been worn, the silver finish is still bright on all detail. This example did not have its silver loop hence price though it retains its ribbon length. Scarce KC. I now have a 57 issue loop for the KC.

A really lovely example of a 1957 issued Knights Cross of the War Merit Cross with Swords within its case of issue. The cross is as issued retaining all of its finish, most likely not worn as the post war servicemen began to favour the use of ribbon bars and dress miniatures rather than the full size awards. The cross is maker marked '41' (Gebruder Bender - Idar-Oberstein a.d. Nahe) on the front of the medal ring and '800' on its reverse, complete with its ribbon, which is clean. The case is near mint with minimal sign of handling. The inside of the case has a velvet like black base that the ribbon and cross rest on. A scarce award even as a 1957 issue especially being made on wartime dies.
