WW2 German K98 Bayonet with Matched Numbers
WW2 German K98 bayonet with matched issue numbers and maker details. Blade retains its blueing and is maker marked with 'ffc' for Friedrich Abr. Herder & Sohn, Solingen, manufactured in 1940, small '40' stamped on the bayonet back, numbered '3159', nicely waffenampt marked at the pommel end. Scabbard marked with maker code and year 'ffc 1940' plus numbered '3159' with waffenampt code to scabbard ball, some minor dings on the scabbard rear and one minor to the front, scabbard side screw missing. Overall an excellent example K98 bayonet which is now hard to find with matched issue numbers and maker's details.
