9th Battalion Tank Corps, Royal Tank Regiment Arm Badge
A scarce badge worn by members of the 9th Battalion, Tank Corps and later 9 RTR - the badge granted by the French in 1918 to the 9th Batt. Tank Corps following the Battle of Moreuil, the badge was the divisional badge of the French 3rd Infantry Division - Examples of this badge were worn on the sleeve as late as 1946, and do appear on contemporary RTR photographs of that period. A number of variations exist from the originally worn French badge to those then made by British manufacturers. A sought after badge.
