A fine example of an M42 'raw edge' winter camo German steel helmet in excellent condition, complete with its liner which is maker marked and dated 1940, size 59. The liner has seen a lot of use though is in good overall condition, the leather is basically supple however it has began to go a bit with time. The helmet shell is in excellent shape, marked hk06? and batched 3466. The steel integrity has not been compromised at all, there are none of the usual bumps or dents. The helmet shell retains its white brushed paint across its surface, faint painted rings/bands showing through under the white paint, some minor blemishes and stains though these do not detract at all. A nice example of a winter camo helmet.
