An M42 'raw edge' German steel helmet in excellent condition, complete with its liner which is maker marked and dated 1943, size 58. The liner is in almost unissued condition, the leather is basically supple to going stiff. The helmet shell is in excellent shape, marked hkp66 and batched 5618. The steel integrity has not been compromised at all, there are none of the usual bumps or dents. The helmet shell retains a tan paint across its surface, some minor marks visible - see photographs. A nice honest M42 helmet that was most likely Balkans or Italy rather than Africa.
