A very scarce German SS Officers solid silver (tested) photograph frame, with small eagles to the left and right upper corners and lower centre bottom and an honour deathshead skull in the top centre middle, in absolutely excellent condition, appropriate patina to a frame of this age, the backing board still present, the frame sizes are 30.5 x 26.3 cms external, viewable 'glazed' area 27 x 22.6 cm with the silver frame border being about 18mm wide. Backing board has remains of the stand assembly, broken at some point in its history, could be a replacement though is contemporary, very typical of art deco frames of that period across Europe as a whole. There is a lot of silver in its construction. An extremely rare and desirable item for the SS Collector.
