The Tanks and Royal Armoured Corps
The 'Tanks' - a fine set of cap badges defining the history of the tanks from WW1 through WW2 to the modern day Royal Tank Regiment. I am regularly asked by both serving personnel, messes and veteran associations for the set of badges that make up 'The Tanks', so here they are, top to bottom - Royal Armoured Corps with a Kings Crown and the Queens Crown version. This is followed by the badges of the WW1 Machine Gun Corps, the Tank Corps and the WW2 Royal Tank Regiment, all with Kings Crowns, then on the last row the current Royal Tank Regiment with a Queens Crown. All genuine period badges that make a fine collection when mounted. Recently I have been supplying sets for regimental presents and certificates of service, I can supply both O/Rs (other ranks) and Officer badges. This is a lovely set of badges that are both iconic and historical, you need to budget about 80-100 for an O/Rs set of badges, prices will vary depending on what badges that I can find, hence the price on application. Todate I have provided some 60+ sets of badges. I have been asked about framing too, yes, I have access to a good local framer, again if that service is required simply ask and I will be happy to provide an appropriate quotation.
