Pre WW2 Romanian Sword by Eichorn, Germany
A quite scarce German made pre WW2 Romanian sword by Eichorn, in fair to good condition for its age, eagle head hilt with Imperial Crown to top, nicely maker marked with the early Eichorn logo of the squirrel above C.E. within an elipse, blade in very good presentable condition though marked heavily at the top of the blade, blade has the Romanian Coat of Arms and the Royal Monogram of Ferdinand 1st - regined October 1914 to July 1927 - and the word 'Toledo', obviously not a Spanish made sword so not sure, as yet, of the significance of Toledo. Sadly missing its scabbard. A scarce and intriquing sword especially with the German link with Ferdinand.
