WW2 German Luftwaffe Officers sword, aluminium type. Blade is clean and bright, is marked with 'Gacfcen'. Aluminium fittings uncleaned as aquired, a sleeper since it was brought home. Gilt to the pommel swastika is bright and unfaded though on one side there is a slight discolouration in one of the swastika arms, likewise on the crossguard. Leather to the grip is slightly scuffed, but 100%. Scabbard leather is very good, with a small 'ding' midways along, with the seam slightly parted around this area - see photos - a couple of scratches and small scuffs to the scabbard leather though these do not detract at all. A very collectable and now scarce sword. Blade length on this example is 31 inches (78.5cm)
