WW2 German K98 Parade Bayonet by A. Evertz
A nice maker marked WW2 German dress bayonet with birds head pommel, rifle slot, chequered black grips and nickel plated up swept quillion on the crossguard, much of the polished finish has been lost over time. The 10 inch single edged, fullered and polished blade is in excellent condition, it has the makers mark of A. Evertz, Solingen. Metal scabbard retains 60% of its paint finish, complete with black leather frog. A fine example of a short model dress bayonet, a typical soldiers 'bring back' that has laid in a drawer for many years without being disturbed, priced to reflect the general appearance.
