WW2 German 'KC' Iron Cross
A scarce 'KC' Iron Cross - an Iron Cross 2nd class converted for wear as a 'Knights Cross', a not uncommon practice where an IC2 was converted for wear in the field to ensure that the full sized KC was not lost in combat or simply in day to day use in the field. This is a nicely converted IC2, lovely patina, the frame under the ring is stamped '800'. The ribbon is not complete length but matches the overall patina of the IC in that its been well used. These converted Iron Crosses do not come up often, an excellent varient for the IC collector.
