M42 Helmet shell - Camo
A nice M42 'raw edge' German steel 'camo' helmet shell in excellent condition. The helmet was recently recovered from a derelict French farm in the Gasson area of Brittany. The helmet shell is in excellent shape, marked EF66 (may well be ET69 - the strike isn't clear) and batched 2083. The steel integrity has not been compromised at all, there are none of the usual bumps or dents. The helmet shell retains its camo paint across its surface, very typical of the 1944 Falaise 'style', - see photographs - plus the remains of a decal are visiable along with the letters of a name painted into the rim right front edge. The helmet shell still has the 3 liner studs in place. An fine example of an M42 camo helmet shell. Priced to reflect the lack of liner.
